Quality & Logistics

Mike spent over 30 years in production management before founding Castings and More. Every supplier in this network has been evaluated through direct experience: process capability, quality systems, delivery track record, and whether management is responsive when problems come up.

Supplier Vetting Process

Every supplier in our network has been evaluated through direct experience and ongoing relationship management. With 30+ years of foundry and operations experience, we evaluate suppliers the same way a demanding customer would — looking at process capability, quality systems, reliability, and management responsiveness.

Quality management system assessment (ISO, AS9100, etc.)
Process capability and equipment review
Track record with similar parts and industries
Management and communication evaluation
Capacity and lead time reliability
Financial stability where applicable

DDP Pricing

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means we quote you a single landed cost that includes the product, freight, customs, and import duties. No surprise charges when the shipment arrives. This is available on appropriate global orders where it simplifies your procurement process.

For orders where DDP isn't the right fit, we can provide transparent FOB and freight estimates so your landed cost is clear from the start.

U.S. Import Order Handling

All import orders from Mexico, Canada, China, or India are processed through our U.S. purchasing and logistics company. You are always working with a domestic counterpart, not navigating foreign suppliers directly.

This structure means your purchase orders, invoicing, and communications stay simple and U.S.-based, while we handle the complexity of international sourcing on the back end.

One Contact from Quote Through Delivery

You work with one contact from the first RFQ through delivery. If a supplier falls behind schedule, a shipment is held at customs, or there's a quality issue on first article, we flag it and handle it. You hear about problems from us before they become your problem.

ITAR & Controlled Data

For ITAR-controlled drawings, export-controlled data, or sensitive technical packages, contact us before submitting files electronically. We will coordinate secure transfer instructions appropriate for your requirements.
